I am trying to decide between Thailand and Bali for next November- just looking for a short time to relax, and will probably stay in one or two places only. The choices are between Northern Thailand and Bali, mainly Ubud. I was wondering if massages are as affordable in Bali as in Thailand? It's one of the reasons I like Thailand so much and I can't find much information beyond mid-range spas in Bali.

Has anyone been to the Mentawai island of Siberut and been to the tribes in the jungle recently? I've a hankering to go but current info is difficult to come by. We're currently on Gili Air and looking to head to Kuta Lombok in a couple of days. Just wondering if anyone has used the tourist transfer service which offers a combine boat and bus option? There seem to be a lots of the tourist information centres offering this service for a fixed price of 200idr. Would be great if anyone knows what we should expect, recommendations on where to book and any pitfalls, or things to avoid!

Im looking for a transfer from Makasaar airport on 21st of August to Rantepao around midnight (I have a flight arriving at 23:40 and dont want to wait the day after to take the bus, because I would like to start visiting Tana Toraja in the morning).
Do you know any car driver or other transfer that could do that transfer for us ?

Hello,

my stomache can't stand coffee so i switched to guarana. You can buy it everywhere in Germany, its tea seed powder, for travel also in capsules.
But I couldnt find any information about it in Bali. I read the indonesia police is very strict with medicaments.
Will get in trouble when go to bali/lombol with a guarana box im my backpack, event so the ingredients are written on it on english?

We are travelling through Flores (using a driver) and will have three nights in Labuan Bajo (2 on a boat) and then travelling to Maumere with the following itinerary
Ruteng - 1 night
Bajawa - 2 nights
Riung - 2 nights
Moni - 2 nights
Maumere - 1 night before flying to Denpasar

We could spend one more night in Flores and are wondering if we should extend one of these places, stay in Ende, or is there somewhere else that would be better as well as, or instead of one of the listed places.

somebody knows if all buses leave at the same time from Rantepao to Makaasar ?
on internet i found only bus leaving at 9pm arriving at 5 or 6am
but I have a flight at 4am in Makaasar so I would like to know if its possible to leave Makaasar around 4pm in the afternoon?

We are two, arriving in Labuan Bajo on Sept. 2 around noon. First day in Indonesia after arrival in Jakarta the day before. Any suggestion on accomodations in town, or nearby?
Quiet and no need 5 star things, cosy and fair is more than enough. We'll stay a few days around there before taking a boat back to Lombok through Komodo. Also for this any recommendation? We found a few companies on the net but would like to check personally boats + schedule once there.

Hi there, I am traveling Lombok with my two kids who are 4 and 9. We have been to Kuta Lombok where we explored many beaches to the East and West and did a snorkeling trip to Gili Nanggu and area. We also did a tour of the waterfalls near Tetebatu. And we stayed with some local friends in the Eastern city of Selong. We are currently on Gili Air and have been to Gili Air and Gili Meno and done snorkeling around all three Gilis here.
