Been looking at trip advisor but haven't been able to find anything. when is the best time to visit Raja Ampat for scuba diving? does it matter if I go in the dry season or wet season as I'll be underwater anyway.

I am looking for a few nights accommodation in LABUAN BAJO. (City or very near City Centre). Price range is between US $ 70-100.
Of course, I have found many Hotels, Resorts....at Beaches, North and South of the harbour, but, they all seem to be about 8km++, away from the City Centre. Since we are not sticking around the pool or beach all day, it compels us practically, to have ALL meals where we stay, unless, we take taxis back and forward to the city, (I know its a small city) where…

I'll be arriving in Sumatra at the beginning of September, either to Medan or Banda Aceh. I'd like to stay in the country for a little over 30 days. I know it's possible to extend the 30 day visa-on-arrival, but the time it takes to do this means it really isn't worth it for me. I've heard it's possible to buy a 60 day tourist visa when you arrive, but I can't find much evidence of people's experiences doing this when I search forums and travel sites. We have 3 weeks in Indonesia and flights to and from Singapore.

We want to see the orangutans and visit the jungle and also relax on the beach in the most spectacular view as possible of course.

North Sumatra would be the easiest for the jungle life but where should we head up then? I would love to visit the Togean islands but I think it might be too much travelling in 14+ days or what do you think? Any similar options with easier travel from Medan or Kota Kinabalu? We try to avoid all…

We're currently planning a big trip before I go back to work after this maternity leave- have got a 4.5 yr old, 3yr old and a 9 month old so a bit different travels to when I was last passing through Bali 20 years ago!

Hello everyone. I'm new to the LP forum and am hoping to get some answers to a couple of questions. I spent 3 months in Indonesia back in 2011, but never got to Sumatra. I'm making it happen this November. :) My boyfriend and I plan to travel to Ketambe by public transport early morning from Medan. I keep reading that it is best to wait until you arrive to find a guide you like and trust. If we were to arrive in Ketambe at 5 or 6 at night would that be enough time for a guide to go get supplies…
