We are planning a three week trip to Indonesia in July for our honeymoon. We fly in and out of Denpasar and would like to focus mainly on slightly off the beaten track areas with some beach, r and r and higher end stays thrown in. We are only planning one or two days in Bali on arrival ( as realise this is very touristy) and would like to do the rest further afield. We have been looking at Lombok/Flores/Sulawesi- does anyone have any advice on preferences and what is feasible in three weeks…
I am planning my first trip to Indonesia which will be a month long and I was looking for recommendations as to which island or islands to visit. I am 50 something so am not looking to party but snorkeling, cycling, scenery and some wildlife watching, any suggestions please?
Hi!
I have just arrived in Bali and will be here for 10 days, I just wanted to see if anyone had any recommendations or tips for places to visit/things to do! As it’s nearing the wet season I would also be grateful for some ideas on what to do on rainy days! I’m staying in Seminyak but have rented a bike to get around :)
On another note, I didn’t have to pay for a visa when I arrived and I asked a few people and they said I didn’t need one anymore, does anyone kno anything about that? I’m from…

Me and my bud are traveling to bali for a week. We want to go scuba diving for a couple of days and see orangutans, Komodo and other exquisite animals that exist in those islands. If we can include trekking around the dormant volcanos that would be great too. Can you recommend an itenary?
Hi,
Myself and my wife are looking to travel by boat from Lombok to Komodo between Christmas and New Year. There seems to be many options for 4 day 3 nights with snorkelling and stop offs included, especially what to see Satonga and Moyo Islands. Has anyone completed this trip recently and have a company they would recommend or avoid. Also what costs involved.
Thanks
Kieran
Hello, my name is Leon and I'm planning a 5 month trip to several country's in South-East Asia. On a certain moment I wont to cross the border from Tawau, Malaysia to Tarakan, Indonesia. I can do that by plane ore by ferry. How about the visa ? I have read there are different type's of visa and i saw the list of entry's with visa exemptions. My preference is the ferry. If I look on the website of the ferry they have also an exemption list. If you come from Malaysia you don't need a visa.
Anyone…
I need some advice regarding Kawah Ijen tours. I will be in Banyuwangi early this March with other 2 people and we would like to hike with a tour Kawah Ijen. We would like to do a sunset tour because one of us is afraid of walking in the dark.
Most tour operators have told us that is not possible anymore, but I have seen tourist blogs about this particular tour. Do you know any tour operator that does a sunset tour? Or do you think the only option is the sunrise tour?
If you could, please give…
Hi all,
We are currently travelling through Indonesia and are thinking about Raja Ampat as our next destination. The snorkelling seems amazing there!
We do not have our own snorkeling equipment with us, but we experienced here that the quality of the rental equipment for example in the Banda islands is really bad. We therefore would like to buy our own before we go to Raja Ampat.
Does anyone know a shop in Sorong that sells snorkeling equipment (mask & snorkel are most important) of…
Hi there!
So it's been a while since my husband and I have done an overseas trip because we had a baby! So I'm itching to get out and explore (and make the most of his free travel before we'll need to pay for him lol).
I think we've settled on Bali as we've never been before, it's not too far from home (Australia), is pretty much the one island (maybe apart from a couple of day trips to smaller islands like Lembongan) so I guess easy to get around, and I think it seems pretty family friendly…
