Does anyone have any recommendations for a tour guide to Tanjung Puting National Park? I've searched the forum and couldn't find much. Also I have an old lonely planet and the one there looks to be closed (Borneo Wisata)?

I have done preliminary investigations of these orangutan tours and they seem pretty expensive. Is there a more cost effective way for a solo travel to see the orangutans by tour?

What are other options are there to see orangutans in Indonesia? Tanjung Puting National Park seems to be real expensive as a solo traveler. How are others seeing orangutans traveling by themselves?

There's an Indonesian backpackers group planning a trip in Aug 2017 on a cost-sharing basis.
