Sorong! Things to do?

Not much, really.
You can visit the Chinese pagoda, and the few Papuan batik and handicraft shops around town, as well as the market. Maybe also Pulau Doom. At night, visit the great seafood barbecue stalls opposite the Marina Mamberamo hotel.
And that's about it.
Pretty much any natural attraction around Sorong is far overshadowed by Raja Ampat.

I would suggest Enjoy beach at Makbon / kasuari beach its not very far from the city

Going to traditional seafood market - you could buy very fresh seafood there with a cheap price then BBQ-ing
