I'm going to be in Bali and surrounding islands in September/October and want to fly from Bali to China. I'm going to spend about 45 days in China, so the arrival city is not that important. I'm more interested in the price of the ticket. Any thoughts on cheap flights (realizing that I may need to fly through Singapore, KL or Bangkok)?

there are flights directly from shanghai to bali by china eastern airline and shanghai airline,i buy the ticket of next weekend ,the price is rmb 3875yuan about $516 including tax.u can go www.china-sss.com to buy the ticket.

I think it may be cheapest to fly w/Air Asia. You can either fly into Macau and travel from there, or even into Hanoi and travel overland into China. Both places should be fairly cheap to get to from Bali (perhaps via BKK or KL). You may also want to check out Jetstar and Tiger Air options out of Singapore.
Hi
Air Asia fly to Shenzen if you will already have your visa. Domestic flights in China can be pretty cheap too

or from bali to jakarta and then jakarta to guangzhou with batavia air...more cheaper. it cost around less than usd300 for return ticket jakarta guangzhou jakarta

Thanks for the advice. I ended up buying a ticket to Kualu Lumpur from Bali and then another from Kualu Lumpur to Macau from Air Asia. Total price was around $150. Very pleased with the price.
