Hello

Just wondering how easy is it to book flights and ferries in peak season. I plan to head to Bali in June (10th) for 2 weeks, would like to do 2 weeks around Komodo and will then need to get back to Bali in order to get to Manado for my last 2 weeks and my flight home. Its seems pretty impossible to book flights from outside Indonesia. I am hoping a I can sit down when I arrive in Bali and box it all off with a travel agent.

Am I dreaming?

Thanks

Tickets for "ferries", at least in Ekonomi class, are always available.

I have never had to wait more than 1 day for a plane ticket on regular commercial routes either, and even then I could have flown same day for a higher price.

The only flights that tend to be really badly overbooked are those ridiculously cheap, subsidized ones to remote places in Papua, Kalimantan, etc.

Note that Bali to Komodo can be easily and quickly done overland, too.

My info & thoughts:
on East-Indonesia.info: Indonesia, Maluku, West Papua, Raja Ampat & Indonesian Visas
on Thorn Tree: Seeing Orangutans, Kalimantan, Kiribati & Tuvalu
