He all,

In about 10 ten days I will start my holiday in Indonesia. It's the first time I will be in Sumatra, but have been to Java/Bali before. I planned the following itinerary with some things open for discussion:

30/7: Arrive and stay in Banda Aceh
31/7: travelling to Pulau weh
1/8: Pulau Weh
2/8: Pulau Weh
3/8: flight to Medan
4/8: Medan --> Bukit Lawang (travel to)
5/8: Bukit Lawang
6/8: Bukit Lawang
7/8: Bukit Lawang
8/8: BL --> Lake Toba (travel to)
9/8: Lake Toba
10/8: Lake Toba
11/8: Lake Toba
12/8: Flight from Silangit airport to Jakarta (spending 3 last days there)

My question is if I should stay in Medan (plane lands at 1335 so basically just 1 afternoon/evening) or travel directly to Bukit Lawang. I have read that buses from Binjai to BL runs untill approx 6.pm. Will this be possible to reach if my plane arrives at 13.35?

I'm doubting about staying in Medan another day and travel to BL on the 5th. This means I can "only"do a 2 day trekking. Otherwise I will do a two day trekking and relax one day in BL or a three day trekking. Are there any experiences for the three day trekking? How "heavy"is it? I'm 25 years old, but not the most sporty person, just a very normal physical condition?

Hope to get some advise or insight!

Best regards,
Wesley

It was titled North Sumatra and was posted 9 months ago. There was a bit on Medan to BL if you manage to track it down.

Thank you Westwood! I found the post and read indeed that there was some information about Medan to BL. It seems to go directly from the airport will be better :)!
