Hello, i have justed arrrived in Bali without any plan to follow and im kinda regretting it now.
Right now i base myself in denpasar, i will be in Indonesia for 3 weeks. South East asia is just harder to organize for me than europe.

And i really dont know where to start my day
I will be taking my time relaxing on a low budget no need for a rush trip.
I have 1.6k usd saved up for this trip so how should i connect the dots for my route.
Should i spend 2 or 3 night each region?
Like
Denpasar> ubub >east bali >gili island >lombok (if budget allows)

My main interest are temples, snorkling and natures. Thank you in advance.

What other areas will you be going to in the 3 weeks in Indonesia besides Bali and Lombok? If temples are your interest do consider adding in Central Java to see Borobudur and Prambanan etc.

Your budget is fine...over 20 million rupiah, (almost a million rupiah a day) as long as you watch your money at the money changer. From Denpasar to Ubud you can take a blue bird taxi or even a Perama or Kura Kura bus shuttle. Walk around the town (outskirts) and look for signs advertising rooms for rent..walk in to look at the room.

3 nights is to me the minimum in any one location, otherwise you are spending too much time in transit and not getting to know any one place.

I'd maybe head to Ubud first, See how you like it.

Then move on when you get bored.

No need for it all set in stone...you have plenty of money, enough time and it's easy to find accommodation as you go. ..

OP -- you have found out by now that while Denpasar is the name of the airport it is not a good place to stay (unless you are on business). I would stay in the Kuta-Legian-Seminyak area or Sanur then look for other options, like Ubud and Candidasa, and the north, like Munduk or Lovina. You might even find a one-day tour of the island and return when you know good places to visit. There are some less-visited temples in these areas. You can afford a guide book on Bali - I always suggest an e-book as you can use it on your phone too. Maps are your friends too.

Travel between towns by Perama. If you have a proper motorbike license you can hire one or, as I did when I was younger, use a bicycle to get around to local areas. Don't rush - you will enjoy things more by going slowly when you feel like it. You can usually find reasonable accommodation easily by looking around.

You should consider taking trip to central java or yogyakarta, I see you have interest in temple, there’s Borobudur temple and prambanan temple, those two are an amazing temple worth to see. In Yogyakarta you’ll see kraton, tamansari, etc. Central java and yogyakarta has different atmosphere of enchantment, well in Bali and Lombok you’ll dazzle by the beautiful beaches, but in central java you’ll see stories about all things cultural, from ancient sites to cultural events.

Yesterday I’ve heard about Dieng culture festival in around 4th to 6th this august, just google it (Dieng is just a few hours away from Borobudur). All I know about cultural events is there’s gonna be a lot of unique performances from local people, and it’s only held once a year (you’re right in the way for this! Haha). Don’t worry about accommodation and stuff because there’s a lot of option, from hotel, homestay, or even a hostel. if this helping, my nephew just stopped by in dieng for a few days, they stayed at Tani jiwo hostel. They come out not only just fine, but can’t stop telling about their experience there, like just can’t get enough of it. Even I still in the chat with him talking about that place, and considering myself to go there. If I had the chance I’ll go to dieng culture festival and maybe spend night there. Oh well hope this’ll inspire you to have an amazing holiday in Indonesia.
