Hi all, I haven't seen any recent info on this and am wondering if anyone can shed some light on the renewal process for a tourist visa in Sorong. I'm just looking to extend to 60 days on a tourist visa, I know that I have to pay for the VOA when I arrive instead of going with the visa-free option, and I already have my onward flight booked so I believe I have the documents I need.

Is it possible in Sorong? Some people say they couldn't do it there and others say they had to pay a bribe, which I'm strictly against, but it's old info. I see tips on doing it in Bali but spending a week on that island waiting for a visa to get sorted sounds like my version of hell. If you can think of any nice, quiet, less touristy places nearby where it would make sense to renew, I'm open, just not Bali!

Hi

Surely you can do it in Sorong. You will need to fill some fille pay on a bank. It takes about 2 or 3 days.
