Hello!
I'm traveling to Sulawesi in March and am considering a visit to Cenderawasih Bay after. I am an intermediate scuba diver and am really excited about the possibility of diving or snorkeling with the whale sharks there. Its amazing that the sharks are there year round and that an encounter with them is pretty much certain. Because of this I'm curious why it doesn't seem like a more popular destination. I know there are very few facilities and I've already read all the posts here that relate as well as this blog http://nomads-expeditions.com/2017/03/the-whale-sharks-of-cenderawasih-bay-nabire-papua. I've attempted to contact the Kali Lemon Resort, which I think is the only dive shop type facility but haven't heard back yet. I'm curious if theres a catch/something I'm missing. Also looking for any tips on safe travels and diving there.
thank you!
