My first instinct is to wonder why you are asking this question. Of the above I would suggest
(1) that you give the adultery a miss. It may be permitted by law but it could lead to a dramatic end to your life.
(2) If you wear your speedos for swimming , do only that. Dont walk around with you wedding tackle hanging out everywhere. I live near the beach in Sanur and have to put up with this horrible sight every day. Masses of pubic hair and various lumps may be a wonderful sight to some, but it is not on my "want to see" list.

I'm not asking it from a personal perspective, I'm asking it because I'm interested in Indonesian culture and affairs. So less of the lectures and more information please.

Anti-porn update: Kissing men is now totally ok, as is looking at the bra section in ladies magazines. Wearing speedos is still very gay and should be avoided whilst sporting an erection.

Where did you hear about it including "dancing in clubs"? That is not on the report you link to. If they try to ban dancing in Jakarta & Java there could be a revolution from the dangdut and clubbing people.

Ironically, prostitution is accepted by the government in most areas of the country. Periodically there might be a raid, but usually for reasons unrelated to sexual morality issues, i.e., policeman or politician killed, robbed, or injured in the prostitution district.

There is, or was, a huge legal prostitution district somewhere in north (?) Jakarta. They said it was a rehab area and courts could send hookers to work there until they were rehabilitated. I guess it was safer for them than working in the "private sector". It may have been closed eventually.

Stingrayj you are not doing too well on this particular thread. In your O.P. you asked about Adultery and then you come back to mention that you are actually interested in affairs. Heaven forbid, what sordid desires will your next post reveal ?
