Thanks

Hey everybody!
My boyf and I are off to Hiroshima for the long weekend, and we were wondering if anyone has any info about love hotels in Hiroshima? Places to go, avoid, etc - all suggestions gratefully received!!
Many thanks!
Hi all, With me only able to speak the smallest amount of Mandarin, could anyone tell me how easy it is to get to and walk TLG from Lijiang or altenatively are there any guides or small tours available from there. I have looked at several longer tours and the two I liked were Intrepid and Gecko but my time may be more limited than the 9 or 10 days on those. Also has the rainy season started by then in June in thet area?
Any help is appreciated.
thanks, Andy
An organization called 1 kg More ( 多背一公斤 ) provides advice and an organizational forum for backpackers who want to bring stationery, other education materials, or very short-term teaching to schools in rural China. Most of the posts are in Chinese, but there is a good English introduction that lists participating schools. You might want to post on the forums regardless, as a large portion of the Chinese backpackers are college-educated and should have decent English.

If you're looking for a bit of nature and an off-the-beaten-track hiking or rafting experience in China without hordes of tourists, check out the Three Beaches National Park on the Xi'an - Chengdu train line.

Hi all,
Could you recommend me some nice and cheap hotels (maybe 3 or 4 stars) in Ha Long and Hanoi? I will be there by the end of April and the Beginning of May.
Thanks in advance!
My girl just got a job that she has been going after for awhile so I want to take her out to celebrate somewhere nice for the weekend the week after next. I was thinking about driving out to Izu Peninsula, it takes about 4-5 hours from here to there. Is it worth checking out? What are the best places for onsen and food? Any good reasonable hotels? I am looking to arrive early morning Sunday, spending the day and night then coming back Monday. Thanks in advance!
Where can i find about a Chinese Business Visa - what sort of 'business' or work is it legal to do with one?
What other alternatives are there for an extended stay?
I've tried and failed to get a working visa through the school i was teaching at and have only had short tourist visas so far.
thx
I'm not planning my trip until February of next year so I'm in the early stages of deciding what to do. I would love to trek to the base camp in Everest but it looks like every tour operator I see online says it's a minimum of 17 days (inclusive of adjusting to attitude etc). I'm going to be on my honeymoon so ideally I'd don't want to spend the entire time roughing / treking it. Has anybody done like a short version of this trek or is there such a thing?
I want to go to Tibet but my…
Perhaps this has been discussed before, but I notice that most people are travelling in the opposite direction - I would like to travel from Beijing to Lhasa and then from Lhasa to Kathmandu. Are there any problems obtaining Nepali visas in China? What are the pros and cons of travelling from Tibet to Nepal? Thanks for your help, Brett.
