I am trying to look for tour companies that offer everything pre-packaged where they handle the visas for you, tickets for train rides, and offer user friendly options for various stops along the trip. I would like the trip to go from one end of Russia to the other, which I believe is called "Trans-Siberian." It seems "Trans-Siberian" could also refer to going from Russia to China or vice versa too?

If there are options to go in both English speaking tour groups and Chinese speaking tour groups and then being able to meet other companions same day, that would be real nice.

Any help would be more than appreciated. Thank you!

Here is what I have to work with so far:

Internet search

Are the ones I found via online or asking others. Are there other companies I can consider? Is the list of ones I currently have good or bad?

Hi,

I've heard good things about RealRussia (they are affiliated with the Russian railway so should mean a half decent price). I haven't used them myself though as I just purchased my Trans-Siberian tickets from the station in Moscow. You can check the website here: http://realrussia.co.uk/Trains/Tickets
Best wishes,
Steve

I have bought train tickets through Real Russia- you get an order which you exchange for the actual ticket at a train station.

You can also book (upmarket ) accommodation through them. If you book >3 nights room you will get free visa service.

Real Russia are very good at replying to emails.

https://www.trains-and-cruises.com/en/journey/trans-siberian-railroad-vladivostok-moscow/
includes Vladivostok

https://www.onthegotours.com/Trans-siberian-Railway/Destination-Vladivostok--19-days - that one also goes to vladivastok

I know I want Vladivastok to be included in the trip now, and it seems at least these two have this option. Which one do you think is better, or what pros and cons do I need to consider? Thank you.

Booking the train thru Real Russia will cost about $1200 in 1st class.

Booking the tour will cost about $4-5000.

Add in 10 nights accom at say $100 a night and the total cost is about $2500.

Are the extras you get on the tour worth $2500?

In response to #4

I'm guessing the tour includes booking the train and accommodation stay.

Considering that I would need a place to stay wherever I was, adding in the 2500 is probably worth it.

I'm definitely looking for the convenience of a tour group rather than something done more manually. The other part will be saving up for the trip, which is up to me.

Thank you.
