Tibet travel partner - mid May

Hi guys,

I'm a 32 year old Australian currently in Chengdu looking for a travel partner to go to Tibet in the next week.

I want to go on one of the seven day tours from Lhasa to Nepal, but willing to join up with someone just to get to Lhasa then try my luck from there.

Just out of curiosity, how did you get on?
I'm planning a similar trip in October. I'm thinking of flying into Chengdu and then finding some like-minded travellers to organise a 4x4 and guide to the Nepali border.
Are there many people at hostels etc. in Chengdu looking for travel/tour partners?
