Suica Use

Hi,

I have heard that Suica card cannot be used for continuous travel between destinations. Which means you have to exit from a station and re-enter to board another train. Am I right? I will be landing at Haneda last week of June and need to make my way to Tawaramachi (Tokyo) station. The Hyperdia route is the following:

So, there are two train changes. Can someone confirm if I need to exit and re-enter at two stations? If so, I am planning to take a bus instead as carrying luggage (2 suitcases) around can be tiring. Many thanks in advance.

Your question really has nothing to do with the Suica card, which is just a way of paying for trains. The method you give involves two changes, and one short walk between two different stations. But there's a better way:

If you use that route, you'll only have to make one change of trains: in Asakusa station. I'm not familiar enough with Asakusa station to tell you what the transfer is like (ie. whether you'll have to switch stations, or even platforms). I suspect it's easy enough though. And it's quick.

You’ll be able to go to Asakusa from Haneda International Terminal by “Keikyu line” train without transfer, and this rout is the most easy way to the Asakusa station.l always recommend this route for my friends.
It’s about 30 minutes, 614 yen using Suica card.
At the airport station, You have to get train to ”Imba Nihon-idai”, “Narita airport” , “Oshiage”, “Aoto” or central Tokyo distination. Do not get train to“Shin-Zushi”, it’s wrong way.
And at Asakusa sta. you will need exit once to transfer to the GINZA line, but it’s not difficult if you charged much money to Suica card.

No that is not correct. A suica card or an individual ticket can be used for continuous travel throughout one companies rail system. You do not need to swipe your card, exit/reenter the station. All that matters is your origin and destination station

IF you are going to be using 2 different rail companies, then yes you will need to exit the station of one company and enter the station of the other company. Often their is only one faregate that takes care of both exiting the first company and entry to the next, so you are never outside of a train station farewall.

As others have said, if you take the Keikyu through service you will only need 1 transfer, from Toei to Tokyo Metro at Asakusa station

Thanks a lot. I just found out that it's only 720 yen. Is transferring to Ginza line easy? Is it at the same station? Need to walk how long?

Two "Asakusa station" are same name but operating by different companies, though I think transfer at Asakusa station is easy, about three to five minutes walk.

You will arraive at the fourth basement(map's left saide, B4F)platform No.2, Metro's station is the second basement(map's right side, B2F).
