Shinjuku Nightlife Question(s)

Hi All , I ws curious if the nightlife in Shinjuku has any central location or streets where the majority of bars are. I'm looking for pubs and live music as opposesd to dance clubs. I'll be staying off the Western side of Shinjuku Station. I've seen some maps on the Roppongi area online that highlights the bars and have not been able to find a comparable map of Shinjuku. I'm guessing the bars are more scattered in Shinjuku ? Any suggestions of some good places would be greatlly appreciated. I'm a 40 year old beer lover and music fan who will be in Tokyo for a mere three nights and would like to make a few good choices for night time entertainment. PEACE Always

I`ve found more live music venues in Shibuya, right outside the JR subway station (well, across the street). What kind of music are you looking for?

Rock,Blues, Jazz,...Really am open to hearing something different,but not a Techno or Rap fan. Looks like Shibuya has a easy connection to JR Subway line.
