Lhasa from Xining needs companion

Hi there!
I am in Xining at the moment and looking for travel companies to Lhasa!
I am flexible itinerarywise (the only and one aim is to get to Lhasa!!) but running out of time,so i should leave this week.
Yes, was stupid and didn't organize this trip well,but as an instinctive traveler just following the voice...:)
I have some help by friend's agency but for a single person ,you know, it is difficult to get the permit, so they say if i find some people they can organize faster..
So if you around and have the same problem we can solve it together ;) or if you around and haven't thought to go to Lhasa it is time to think of it and come with me for
peas & laugh

It shouldnt be any more difficult for 1 person than half a dozen, to get a TTP. It is cheaper though if you're in a group of some sort.
Multiple posts within such a short time arent going to make things happen any quicker.

From the literature, I understand that Tibetan Connections is a decent tour agency. They are based there in Xining, at the Lete Hostel.

Yes, thanx! I´m staying at Lete hostel, a already talked to them as well. And just got the news that Tibet is closed again for the whole may. I hope it is not true!! I am thinking i might stay until june and to create a group.

There's been nothing here yet from several posters to say its closed for all of May. Keep checking here over the next few days.

I do not understand this. Everyone has different information. The agency said it is closed. My contact at Lhasa just told me that it is ok to travel there ,but for individual person now it is impossible to get permit. And even if i find an other person it has to be the same nationality,in this case hungarian hehe Is there any hungarian around here or there??!!! A guy just came from Lhasa but he said there was many different nationality in his group and it was a big group...maybe in large groups doesn't matter. Also met a couple yesterday and they have been refused because the guy was french and the girl was german, although they had the whole itinerary booked. But not giving up yet!!! bless

Having to be the same nationality WAS an old regulation. I'd be getting a new agent if I was given old information.

Its longer if you go from Chengdu-- boring at times.
