Huangshan bus stationCountry forums / North-East Asia / China
I am currently doing research for my trip to huangshan. i decided not to go during may day holiday (i am going to zhengzhou and surrounding areas) becuase there are 20 trains a day between nanjing and zhengzhou (i teach english near yangzhou). that means i need to take two weekend trips to huangshan- one for the local villages and one to climb the mountain. overnight train thursday night, overnight train saturday night.
I think you're not differentiating between Huangshan city aka Tunxi, and Tangkou town which's at the foot of Huangshan (mountain itself). Think about it and then rephrase your question, I'm getting confused by you. | 1
Oh and feel free to PM/email me if you want any help with travelling in Henan province, or the Huangshan area. | 2
when does the last bus from Tangkou town leave to tunxi? | 3
Sorry, not too sure. However I think there're private vehicles making this route, so if you're coming down within daylight hours you shouldn't have too much problem getting back to Tunxi. Why, would you be coming down at night?! | 4
I am not sure about when the last bus from Tangkou to Tunxi is either. However, whenever it is, this route will have the latest-running buses, meaning it is unlikely to be a problem. And if it is, like ellyse said, there will still be people offering to take you on this trip. I would not be worried about this-- getting between Tunxi and Tangkou is quite convenient. If you do not find someone to take you on this route, you must smell bad or something, because the touts swarm like mosquitoes, and will approach you at any hour of the day. Just don't let them cheat you... | 5
thanks for your help woolf and ellyes | 6
