How to get from Shizuoka to Ito?

Hello All,

Can't seem to find any info on how to get to Ito from Shizuoka.
I'm looking for the cheapest way train or bus.
Anyone done this route?

Don't know about buses....there may be one.

Anyway its easy and cheap enough by train...via Atami.Just change there...

Anyway as I said I couldnt't find any info about buses, departure points, cost, duration transfers etc. The same for trains. That's why I asked.

Just plug your departure and destination into Google Maps. It's there.

For trains use hyperdia or jorudan or google maps. It should give you the following connections:

• by train via shinkansen: Shizuoka station - Atami - Ito; ca. 1:15 h and 2600 to 4500 yen (depending on the connection and whether you want seat reservations or not); some connections involve an additional change of trains in Mishima)

• by train without shinkansen or other Ltd Express trains: Shizuoka - Atami - Ito (with perhaps an extra stop in e.g. Fuji, Numazu); ca. 1:45 to 2 h and 1660 yen

I doubt that you can gain anything by taking a bus on this route. One example route by bus:

• Shizuoka - Shuzenji station by train (1:30 h to 2h, 1480 yen) plus bus from Shuzenji to Ito (ca. 1 h, 1130 yen)
