I have read that lot of groups have travelled the Silk road by MotorBike. I like to do one on my own. Travel from India to China either through Pakistan via the Karakoram Highway or through Tibet(havent worked out whether its possible through sikkim).
Could any one give advise on.
1) The procedure to bring in a Motorbike (500cc) into China.
2) Special permissions required to travel independently(or in a group of two),through lhasha-china highway or Karakaoram highway.
3) is it easy to get a driving licence at the border for riding in China.
4) Any one interested in the trip & would like to join me..
