Country forums / North-East Asia / South Korea

hi all,i have now booked my flights for 14nts s.korea and then 14nts japan,i wa going to osaka by ferry from busan but canot find any info also will i need a visa if i cannot book a ferry from the uk before i leave,i fly out to seoul in october any reply would be be much appreciated cheers whizz.

This web can help you with info about ferries out of Busan (to Osaka and to other destinations). Be aware is dated in November last year so you should update some of the info (e.g.: schedules) but it provides the relevant links to the ferry companies in order to make it.

What passport are you using? We were using NZ and UK passports and didn't need visas or proof of outward travel when entering either Japan or Korea a few weeks ago. We travelled from Shimonoseki to Busan via overnight ferry.

Have a look at Kampu Ferries website (they travel to Shimonoseki and Fukuoka in Japan) and the Beetle Ferry site too.
