Everest Base Camp Tour in December

Hi,

I am planning to travel to Tibet, arriving early to mid December by train from Xian. I am travelling alone and will be looking for an EBC tour. Is anyone else intending to do the same in December and want to share the cost, the more people the lower the cost.

Any tour providers recommendations would also be appreciated.

December and January are the two months that I really prefer traveling to Everest Base Camp.

When are you planning on setting out? I am looking at doing the EBC trek starting on 19th December. I am looking at heading to EBC first, then crossing the Cho La pass, NYE (time depending on weather conditions) in Gokyo then back to Lukla...19-22 days. Im 31, Australian - although I have no previous trekking experience

I am heading to Tibet on 16th December and intending to stay around 10 days. Currently I am looking at the winter EBC tour with tibettravel.org.

I am not interested in trekking as I wont have trekking gear with me and will be in tibet for a short time. I think that the altitude will be an issue and I think you are sensible doing 19-22 days as this allow better acclimatisation. Having climbed mountains and trekked at altitude before I have encountered altitude sickness and it isnt an experience that i want to repeat.
