Blogger.com banned?

Country forums / North-East Asia / China

Hello. Does anyone know if blogger.com is banned in China? If so, know any other good ones to use that arn't blocked?

Thanks, Graeme.

At the moment, I can access Blogger. You might also want to try LiveJournal.
Cheers!

".blogspot.com" URLs were banned when I was there, but "blogger.com" URLs worked. Blogspot blogs are veiwed with .blogspot.com but updated with blogger.com. Unless they've finally closed that loophole.

As of right now, I can view both blogger.com sites as well as blogspot in China. This goes back and forth, however.

I never used to have problems with Xanga, although that's currently blocked. Someone I know uses Typepad and that seems to be fine. You can also try using a proxy server if you want to be able to use a site that is blocked.

over the past 3 weeks it's been blocked/unblocked/blocked/unblocked. Right now it's unblocked. Some of the smaller blogging sites (typepad being the biggest, but places like blogsome or maybe wordpress) might be a better choice. I know China Bounder mirrors his site on livespaces.msn.com
