any information regarding Jetstar Asia Airways... AND Tiger Airways would be appreciated -- trying to visit Hong Kong- Singapore- Vietnam

Yep, they are both budget carriers. Both are also controlled by major traditional carriers. Jetstar is 49% owned by Qantas, and most of the rest by S'pore businessmen. Tiger is 49% owned by Singapore Airlines.

You can also try Air Asia in those countries and Macau.

There are actually quite a few budget airlines and there is someone on this forum whose signature includes a link to Budget Asia airlines. sorry but I am not on my computer so I can't find the information easily for you.

DragonAir is most definitely not a budget airline. Apart from Jet Star Asia and Tiger Airways, the only others that I can remember which do international flights are Air Asia and Cebu Pacific... not sure if OK Air does as well.
Cheers!

There's a fairly complete list of Asian budget carriers here:
http://www.attitudetravel.com/lowcostairlines/asia/

(bit of a pain working out who flies where exactly though)

You could do Hong Kong- Singapore- Vietnam just using Airasia (which seems to be cheapest of the relevant ones? and has an online route map) using Bangkok &/KL as a hub...
