Accommodation in Seoul

Country forums / North-East Asia / South Korea

Hi
Staying in Seoul for a few days, before eventually flying home to England. Never been to Korea before and wondered if anyone could recommend anywhere to stay. Can't afford 5 star, but would appreciate something a little nice and special.

Many thanks.

Any other advice on Korea, greatly appreciated. Thanks again.

Andrew

I always stay at the Sejong Hotel. It is very comfortable accommodation and is right in Myong Dong (great for shopping & eating!). You might be able to get better rates if you book on another internet hotel site, but their prices aren't bad, compared to say the Lotte or the Hyatt...

Consider Plaza hotel. Don't get freightened by the name. It's only an affiliation hotel of the expensive Plaza hotel chain. It's right next to the city hall and overlooking the famous Shi-chung-Gwang-jang in which people gathered and cheered for the national soccer team during 2002 Korea-Japan Worldcup. Also it's very close to everything, Myoungdong for shopping and hangout, Shinchon and Hongdae for nightlife and going crazy, Namsan for some fresh walk and stuff. They sometimes offers special offers on their website so it's worth checking out. Try some of the online booking websites as well.
