Hy there
Just read on a website (China Empassy) that the prices of the flights from Chengdu to Lhasa dropped down to 450 Yuan. So I'd like to know now if this is thrue?
And how much are the train tickets? Are there some tickets available for mid October to go by train from Chengdu to Lhasa?
And how long does it normally take to get a train or plane ticket? I'm thinking of going to Chengdu and then look for a train or plane ticket. I wouldn't minde to wait for 2 to 3 days.
Thanks for your help
I've read that it is a five day roundtrip between Lhasa and Everest Base Camp. Has this been your experience? Was the trip to Everest Base Camp great, worth doing? Many thanks!

Hi everybody,
We would like to fly from Beijing to Lhasa on the 17th October. It is very hard to find any details on the net, but I have heard, that it is possible to get some discount for the ticket in Beijing at that part of the year.
Where can we get a ticket in Beijing?
What is the price?
Is the permit to Tibet included in the price?
Is there a daily connection between Beijing and Lhasa?
Is it better to go by train than by plain?
Please give me any feedback regarding with the plain ticket.
Thanx
Hi
I have read the forum this weekend. I understand that if one enters Tibet from Nepal, any individual Chinese tourist visas will be cancelled and a Chinese group visa will be applied for, in addition A tibet permit must also be obtained. I plan to apply for a Nepalese visa before I depart London.
My planned travel options are: arrive London to Beijing, spend one night in Beijing, meet up with a friend, fly together Beijing to Kathmandu, take a tour from Nepal into Tibet, tour ends in Lhasa…
recent experiences? I haven't got time to get it done in Lhasa.
British passport.
cheers.
Hi there, notice on my Chinese visa application that they want me to indicate the provinces I intend to visit and in order. I will land in Chengdu, so should I just confine the answer to that province?
Cheers - Brad
