hello,

can anyone provide advice on volunteering or teaching in tibet. lhasa or else where.

Try Kham Aid at khamaid.org. Go to volunteer on the page and they have positions available for English teachers. The school's around Zhongdian in Yunnan and not the TAR but close enough.

You can try at Jatso Chumig School in lhasa. Most of the students there are orphan or handicapped. Its worth volunteering there. If you are in Lhasa 97 bus will take you there.
