Some agencies have nearly the same prices. The most spoken on this site are often from people who also use this site and directly or indirectly advert for their business.
For places to stay you can also use the search option on this site. Comparing to the rest of China prices for accommodation in Tibet are high and quality is low. Food is the same problem.

The accommodation at EBC base camp is in big tents that are used as restaurant during daytime where you can buy a sleeping place for the night. The toilets are far from the tents, very dirty and it's very cold specially in the night if you need to go out to use the toilet.

Hm ... there are many but according to Tripadvisor for example they say that they had only cold water in the shower and also the room temperature was very low ... maybe you could give me your point of view for Lhasa etc. ;) !

How much does a meal in Tibet normally costs?

Do you know a check-list for Tibet (clothes, medicine etc.)?

What clothes do you recommend for a Tibet Trip in the last week of september?

I'm not sure if #11 is warning against the recommendations in #5 or others. Those 4 places dont need to advertise as their reputation is sufficient to generate business.
TripAdvisor I never bother with, so many posts are inaccurate for some reason.
Every hotel we stayed in that had private bathrooms had plenty of hot water, warm rooms and either plenty of warm blankets or electric blankets. Even the tent we stayed in had a pot belly stove in the middle of the tent and more duvets than we were going to use.
Check list? We just took warm clothes, never travel with medicines. Was April when we were there and still needed jackets, hats, gloves and scarves.

Westwood I was thinking about #6 and #8. They don't seem impartial to me. And this goes also for all the others who have a travel agency and advertise for their own business on other threads. So if you go travelling to Tibet comparing quotes and service from some agencies is the best to do, next to reading the feedback given by travellers.

I think that Drumbrake doesn't have ties with any business in Tibet and I think the same goes for Ruth. They just give information for the sake of helping others. That's why they name the most commonly refered agencies in this branch. It doesn't matter to them which one the OP picks.
