My friends and I are learning in China now, we're now planning to visit Tibet in April, and we received several quotes from different companies. We like to go with Travel West China. Does anyone have any experience with this agency? We are students, it's not easy for us to save money, we need to confirm everything will be fine before we go ahead. Your honest comments would be very much appreciated.

Hi
I travelled with Travel West China last autumn.
It was 14 days travel that began in Kathmandu going through Shishapangma, Peku-tso, Mt. Everest Base Camp and to Lhasa.
When I came back home to Norway I received an email frmo my travel advisor.
She asked me wheter I could post my words to their company on TT.
I'm happy to say that I had a good experience with my travel.
We had a Tibetan guide who was always cheerful, helpful and attentive.
The driver was nice too and stopped for scenic spots when we needed.
I think TWC is an excellent tour operator and I would use them again, so I can recommend using them.
Hope you have a nice travel to Tibet :)
I think the Chinglish is a dead give away West. Although pretty good and almost perfect... just a few small errors that are very common with Chinese who have learnt English.
They are getting smarter at touting though.

If they really did go from Kathmandu through Shishapangma, Pelku Tso then EBC - they likely had one hell of a headache and would most likely be less enthusiastic about the itinerary!?
They could at least choice a real itinerary to tout!!

I and some my fella traveled in Western Tibet with Himalayan Glacier Trekking, and our tour was wonderful: we covered the whole country from Lhasa to Ngari, and it took 20 days. The most important thing - our guide was Tibetan, but very knowledgeable and helpful.
As I remember, this company is recommended by LP and has good reports on Trip Advisor. Sure, you can contact them.
