Hi! I'm an artist from New York who incorporates Tibetan thangka techniques and symbols into my artwork.
I'm posting a brief introduction to Thangka Painting and an example of one of my paintings that has been influenced by the genre.
Please feel free to offer any suggestions or comments!

Repkong is the cradle of Thangka Paintings, there is a village named Wutun where you can visit how the artist work. for a set of Thangka Painting, an artist have to paint 4 months even more for a biger one.
Wow!!!
Repkong looks great! I'd love to go there! However, I've heard that since the Americans protested the olympics at the foot of Everest, Tibet is closed to foreigners.
I will check out your travel website; going thru Bhutan this year, maybe next one in Tibet!
Thanks so much for your kind comments!
