I saw a post in one of China's most well known travel websites.
Basically it says that there is a youth hostel in Chengdu that only accepts foreign travelers. The poster didnt say the name of it and the only infomaton about the hostel is the owner is a Singaporean-Japanese couple. From this info, I think most likely it's Sim's cozy house.
Just a warning, this kind of practice is prohibited in China. If this is true, it could make the front page news should some journalisic decide to write about it

Where did you read that? Whatever website it was, it was wrong- when I stayed there last September there were Chinese travelers there as well.

I saw a restaurant at Taishan that had a sign forbidding Japanese from entering.
Is this practice prohibited in China?

The website is tianya.cn travel board
I didnt say it was true. I was just quoting the poster. It could be that some competitor was trying to discredit Sim's cosy house, or something else.
There was an Internet cafe in Qingdao a while ago that had a sign: Koreans Only. This caused some nationalist against koreans. I hope SCH doesnt get caught intween this.

As for that restaurant at Taishan, I am against it.

Though Sim does attract more foreign guests than Chinese, Chinese guests are definitely allowed to stay there. There have been some there everytime I have stayed there.

I stayed in Sim's a week ago (today's date is Aug 23) and shared a dorm room with 2 chinese girls.
