Hello,

It's heard that the terminating train station in Tibet will be expanded to the second largest Tibetan city--Shigatse. This makes us really excited, but we cannot wait to take a train to Tibet from a Chinese city. After doing some research on the web, we found that easy-tibettravel.org can offer train-to-Tibet train tickets. The only problem is that all travellers need to book a whole Tibet tour package--it seems that Tibet trip is one of the most costly trips throughout the world. Anyway, we have decided to go in this September.

We actually have 2 travellers. Please send us a private message if you also plan to travel in this September with us. 2 more travellers are enough to purchase a whole sleeping cabin with 4 passengers.

Unfortunately, you have to show the Tibet Permit when you board the train to Lhasa, and the only way to get the Tibet Permit is to book a tour through the travel company or agency. If you think the tour cost too much, you'd better find someone to share the charge with you.
Train tickets to Tibet is comparatively busy and there is a limited numbers of soft sleeper in each train, so it's very difficult to get and the chance to purchase a whole cabin is slim.

When getting train tickets for Tibet, we had to go soft sleeper as that was all that was available on the black market at the time. There were 7 of us on the one TTP, we were 4 of the 7 and even then, we werent in the same cabin.

I;m also wondering if OP's a covert ad for the link!!

I don't think there's anything covert about it. Let's hope readers here have enough sense not to fall for tour operators engaging in this sort of subterfuge. If they do this kind of thing here, imagine what they'd do on a tour!

It was just that Harrison and Lily are normally European names but the wording of the OP doesnt quite fit.
