My girl-friend (39) and I (47) will be in Tibet the whole September. We have booked two tours - one group tour taking us from Kathmandu to Lhasa overland and another tour which we have booked for the two of us (cos there was no group available for that route) but it would be nice to have some companions (females?)!
The tour is as follows:
September 20: Lhasa – Ganden, Touring Ganden monastery, Camping.
September 21: Trekking to the base of Shuga la pass, Camping.
September 22: Trekking cross Shuga la pass, Camping.
September 23: Trekking cross Chitu la pass, Camping.
September 24: Trekking down to Samye monastery through Emalung village, Camping.
September 25: Tour of the monastery and the surrouding area, Camping.
September 26: Rest day and drive to Tsetang
September 27: Tsetang - Gongar
September 28: Drive to Gonggar (and we then will fly back to Kathmandu and go back home) - I guess it would be possible to make a stopover in Lhasa, too. Or to make the detour to Lhasa on 27th).
Included in the price are: all permits, guide, all food during trekking and camping (from day 1st Lunch till day 7th lunch), 1 night hotel in Tsethang and 1 night hotel at Gongar airport with breakfast included sleeping tent and mats, cook, cooking and dining equipments and utensils, Yak/Yakmen for the trek, entrance fee for Ganden monastery and Samye monastery.
Not included are: lunch / dinner during hotel stays, sleeping bag
The tour price now is about 900 US-Dollar per person on a two people basis. Of course the price would go down with more people.
If anybody is principally interested we can immediately ask our tour guide (we have booked with http://allnepal.com/index.php and we have the feeling that they are reliable) how much it would cost then (depends a bit on the number of people, I guess).
So - anybody interested?
Just give us a note via email schoene.aussicht@gmx.de.
We will leave for Kathmandu on August 23 so we should have come together till August 20.
See you?
Greetings, Cathrin and Karin
ps: it's our first time in Tibet. And we are German
