Hi guys.I've been reading a lot about how to go to Lhasa. It looks everybody is going from China and not from Katmandu. I am planning to go to asia (Iran, pakistan, India, etc) so it woulb be the easiest way to enter txh Katmandu but according with the info I got , it is very difficult or imposible for independent travellers. They have to join a group but the worst is they have to leave China with the same group or get a new visa after leaving Tibet and also is very expensive .

My question is. Has anybody reached Lhasa from Nepal as a single traveller?. Thanks for any info.

If you come in from Nepal, you don't get a new visa after leaving Tibet Autonomous Region. You simply have to change it to a normal Chinese visa, and finding a place to do that is potentially difficult.
Cheers!

You're partly right, you have to be in a group to travel from Nepal to Tibet, but one person can be a group, the Chinese embassy will issue visa to one single person as a group visa, don't worry. Several agencies in Kathmandu can arrange a visa for you.

DON"T WORRY. How much is going to cost? . That's the problem.
