I'm planning a tour June /July 2011
but when I look for festivals I got different dates for same festivals
who knows EXACT dates for festivals??

I found:
Gyantse Dhamak 6-8 july
Tashi Lunpo thanka July 15
Gyantse horse festival july 20
zamling Chisang SAMYE dolde also 15 july

can someone confirm this??

and where can I find dates for smaller festivals?

Last year we passed a festival ( lama blessing) on the road between
Xiahe and Tongren. We didn't see ANY foreigner. And stayed as long as possible.

Now I found most website say: Gyantse Dhamak on 20 July and not on 6-8 July.
only 1 day??

The problem is that most festivals fall on different days every year, so you need to be specific in your google search. so just make sure you include the year in your search, otherwise you'll get a lot of different answers.
