Hi. I'am here again. I have been reading and found out most visas to China are only for one month. I want to spend at least 2 months and besides that , go to Vietnam,Laos, Cambodia (I will leave and enter China only once in this region) but I have read that entering Hong Kong and coming back , people need a new visa. Is possibly or difficult to get a multiply entry visa?. Thanks,

I think that we should all start mentioning our country of residence when we inquire about any visas.

I am a U.S. resident and just received a Chinese Visa that expires in one year and allows multiple entries for 60 days each.

The policy for U.S. residents now has a flat fee of $100 for any of the usual tourist visas (as of 01 August 2007 at any U.S. based consulate).

Also, if you don't already have a double/multiple-entry visa, it's easy for most nationalities to get a new visa in Hong Kong quite quickly.
If you only have a 30-day visa, you should have no problem extending it at least once in China, for the same duration.
Cheers!

It depends on what country you're coming from. Good place to look at info is here: http://www.china-embassy.org/eng/hzqz/default.htm

With the Olympic Games being played in Beijing next year, they've changed how visas are issued.

But in any case, if you're going to Hong Kong, it's always easy and fast to get another visa back to mainland China.

I was offered 3 month single or double entry or 6 month multi entry in Hong Kong (NZ passport). HK is the place to get a visa, it's overnight service. Yes you need a new visa if you come and go from HK (unless you have multi entry of course) Extensions are a formality.

#5, Our last visas cost NZ$60 for 30 days compared to that price in 2005 for 60 days. Plus the Consulate in Auckland likes to have detailed itineraries.

#1, how did you get a one-year with 60-day visits? I got the one-year multi one too (just a week ago), but it's only for 30-day visits. I paid the flat fee $100 as well.

#7, great if you're going through HK. No good if you're not.
