Hi guys!
I have been trying to organize a trip to Tibet from Nepal, where I have been based for the last number of months, but with no luck. I am now looking into flying to Chengdu from Delhi in early June and hopefully entering Tibet from there.

I want to spend 7/8 days in Tibet probably leaving Chengdu the first week of June. Does anyone know how easy it is to organize a tour upon arrival? - do I need to book well in advance? Also, regarding costs -In Nepal I was quoted $900 per person for one week - this is (far) beyond my budget - what are the costs generally of taking such a trip from Chengdu ( I will not need return transportation as I intend to Train from Lhasa to Beijing at the end of the tour).

Any info would be much appreciated!

Also, if anyone is interested in joining me on this trip email me at sabrinabushe@yahoo.co.uk

Costs will depend on how many people, how many days, where you go, type of transport in and out.

Dear Sabrina

Cost is totally depend on what kind of tour you want to do, but you can join in a group that having the same tour itinerary that you are willing to do, so it will cut the tour cost, booking through a local agency in Tibet will cut the intermediate cost and better for your services.
I you don't have any idea where you want go and what you want to see in Tibet, then post on here and i am happy to design an itinerary for your request.
