Hi,
We have 6 days in Lhasa area and would like to travel around for three of them. Can we do this route in 3 days? if yes, how?
Gyatse-- Sakya-- EBC-- Shigatse
If not, what should we eliminate or can someone recommend a 2 or 3 day tour.
Has anyone been to the Mindroling Monastery and/or the guesthouse there? Would that be a good 2-day tour stopping at the Samye-Chimphu.
We are going crazy planning this trip with too many guidebooks and no real advice. Thank you.
Brenda

It is not really possible to do Gyantse - Sakya - EBC - Shigatse in 3 days. Most people make that a 5 day trip. You can do Gyantse and Shigatse in 3 days.
I have been to Mindroling, and it is quite nice. It is not really on the main tourist route, so it is mostly foreign tour groups that go there, and is not overrun by mobs of tourists the way other places can be. I did not stay at the guest house. I think Mindroling and Samye would make a nice trip.
There is also Nam Tso, which makes for a very nice 1 or 2 day trip from Lhasa. You can go there and back in a single day, or you can opt to spend the night at the lake. It is really beautiful there.
You can go see Ganden in one day, and you can get there by taking the public bus.
