Does anyone know of any weekly apartment or hotel rentals in Kaohsiung?

My husband and I are traveling to Taiwan next June, but we woul like to book flights from Taipei to Macau and Hong Kong, maybe visit the Tum of the terracota Soldiers, hotels, etc. So we would like to contact a local travel agency to make arrangements for us.

I will travel to Yunnan this summer and have an extra week or 2 available afterwards... I will probably be flying through Taipei, as the flight I'm interested is with China Airlines and has a short layover in Taipei. Would you extend that extra time to visit the Sichuan province or extend the layover in Taipei and spend some time in Taiwan? I was wondering which area you find more interesting / beautiful and why.

I am a Canadian man who had a criminal record but have since got a pardon years ago. I read that one of the requirements for a 30 day visa is no criminal record. With my pardon would my prior record show up when I arrive in Taipei? Is Taiwans government able to access Canadas information about prior records? what would happen if they were to deny me entry? I intend going to Taiwan within the the next two months to teach english. I have the qualifications etc. i am an Irish citizen and understand that I should try and get a multi entry visa for Taiwan as this visa can be converted to a working visa without leaving the country. if this is correct, where should I apply in Asia. i have tried Kuala Lumpur and no luck. maybe Singapore or Bangkok. I would be grateful for any help.

I'll be backpacking around Taiwan for CNY, mid Feb - early March. (Sorry for being vague, date is not confirmed).

Anyhow, my main fun is to do some rock climbing in Long Dong. Then to scuba dive in Kenting, south of Taiwan.

I was wondering what's the best route/ method of getting there, from Taipei to Long Dong - then to Kenting, in addition to, factoring in all the crowds with CNY.

I was really set on following my gut on going/leaving from place to place. Would this idea be wise…
