Typhoon?

I am in Taipei which was not seriously affected by the typhoon. Extensive flooding has occurred in the south of Taiwan especially in Pingdong, Kaohsiung, Tainan, Chiayi and Taitung. Transport services in these areas have been disrupted and it is probably a good idea not to travel there for at least the next few days. A section of the southern link railway was washed away so it may be some time before trains between Kaohsiung and Taitung resume operations.
