Does anyone know if I can find Tin Tin comic books in Chinese in Taipei ?
Thanks.

Not likely. When I was in Taiwan, I asked a friend who lives there to help me find some comic books and I had to explain to my friend what they were. The only things we could find were some Japanese manga translated into traditional Chinese characters.

There are Chinese translations of the Tin Tin books. Tin Tin is translated as "Dīng Dīng" in Mandarin. The characters for this are written as 丁丁 - they should be easy for anyone to write down. Just ask in any bookshop.

Thanks for your info
I remember seeing them in traditional Chinese in the 80's. I am just wondering if they are still in circulation.

I can't tell you about Taipei, but in Beijing in 2005 there were 21 Tintin titles (in simplified characters, from China Children Publishsing House) in print and available. In the mainland at least, the complete name of the series is 丁丁历险记 (ding1 ding1 li4 xian3 ji4, Adventures of Tintin); asking just for 丁丁, I was shown books with a different 丁丁 for very small children. If you have no luck in bookstores you might try used bookstores and fleamarkets: there were old black and white Chinese editions for sale at Panjiayuan fleamarket in Beijing (for much more than the new editions).
