Does anyone know where to find info on buses and ferries in Penghu? Is there any public transport to Xi (Si, Hsi) Island?
Also, is it possible to rent bikes in Magong?
Finally, does anyone have a recommendation for a cheap (ie, below NT1000/ night) place to stay on Wang'an?

there is ferry from kaohsiung to penghu, 'taihwa' is a big ferry going to magong, a smaller boat named 'nai hai tzu sin' goes through 'chi mei' and 'wang an'.
there are lots of motorbike rent places in magong.
my auntie opens a guesthouse-like hotel in wang an, named 'wang an hotel'. u can find some other home stays there. go ask the local friendly villagers to have a budget price, usually they dont have single rooms. or write to me, ill help u.

When I visited Wang An I think there was only one hotel there and the rooms were NT$600/night. May be a little more now, that was about 5 years ago. Very nice there. Quiet.
I imagine there is transport to Shi Island, the three main islands are all joined by road. Rent a scooter. Expect to pay NT$300-400 per day.
