I'm heading to Jeju in early October and I have 3 questions hopefully someone can help me with:

1) I want to climb Hallasan. Does anyone know if all the trails are currently open? Any advice on preferred trails for that time of year?
2) While I'm climbing Hallasan, I think my Dad would like to do some ocean fishing. Is anyone aware of any companies that take people out, or what marina would be the best to check? Any idea on how much money it should cost?

Does anyone know if there is a way to book online the Beetle Hydrofoil ferry from Busan to Hakata, (and get an e-ticket). We are in the UK at the moment. There is a website (http://www.jrbeetle.co.jp/english/) that lists timetables etc, but it does not allow the internet booking of tickets unless you are resident in Japan (I guess they need to send the tickets).

We will be grateful for any help with this

i just found out that there is a cheap train ride from pyongyang to beijing. the problem is we dont know how to cross the border from seoul to pyongyang. do we take a bus? or train? how long is the trip? we are completely clueless we are thinking of it as an alternative from our original ferry ride from incheon to tianjin. what do you think?

I'm flying into Seoul on Thursday night and I have reserved my first 2 nights at a hostel near Hongdae. I plan on staying at hostel-type accommodations during my 2 week stay in Korea. However, I have decided not to make any more reservations for now.

What's the best strategy of carrying/managing money in Korea. I don't like to carry a lot of cash around while traveling. But I don't want to make too many ATM withdrawals that incur expensive fees. I plan on being there 2 weeks and will be in Seoul, Pusan, and a few other smaller cities. If you're a U.S. traveler, what's the most cost effective strategy?

(1) Make 4-6 ATM transactions (incur fees) for the cash needed and pay cash for everything?
