it would be a very exotic experience to go to a jimjilbang (sauna) that offers the Doctor Fish treatment. there are only two places in the world which has these species. One is in Turkey and the other one is found in the China-Korea-Japan peninsula.

Can anyone recommend a nice place that offers this experience? I think there are lots of places of this kind but are located at the far reaches of South Korea. We hope theres one near the city center

Hello!

I am moving to South Korea in Decemeber and I'm in the process of securing my E-2 visa. I have been told by the school that is placing me I need an in person interview with a Korean consulate. Problem is, I currently reside in Bermuda, and the closest consulate to me is in New York. Does anyone know if you can do a phone or web cam interview. I called the consulate, however I am pretty sure I spoke to someone who didn't truly understand my question.

Any answers would be greatly…

Hi

I am looking for a place to stay either in or very close to Hongik/Sinchon. I haven't managed to find anything that doesn't sound like the rooms are rented by the hour or just sound pretty grim. Does anyone know of anywhere that is ok?!

Alternatively can someone suggest a place that is within very easy access by subway of Hongik/Sinchon (ie within 10 minutes or so)?

I am hoping to pay no more than about KRW80,000

Thanks very much

duty-free Seoul

can any LP posters comment on availability and prices of wine; either Australian, South African, French etc

I depart out of Hong Kong and they definitely have few attractives prices on anything.

Thanks in advance!

Hi - me again, I also want to do some hiking. I am ready for the winter hiking in terms of gear but I am having a hard time telling from the books I have if any of the parks/trails close in the winter. Are there any parks we should avoid?

Hi
I'm having 2 nights in Seoul on a stop over back home. Was after advice on where to stay in this fantastic city?
Can't afford that much, I would have just had 2 weeks in Vietnam. Any advice greatly appreciated. I've searched the internet, but just keeps coming back with the expensive options. (Unless Seoul is actually expensive). (I'm from England).
Many thanks

Andrew

Hi there,

Has anyone purchased Travelers Cheques in Korea and used them overseas?

If so, what ones are the best to purchase?
I've heard before that cheques purchased in Korea can't be used in other countries (like their bank cards) hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Thanks in advance!!!!!!
