I'm looking for options to do some volunteer work in exchange for room & board for a week or two in Jellonam-do or Jeju-do. I am trying to avoid the teach-English/work with kids stuff. I'm a middle aged traveler whose been to Korea before and has a simple Korean language vocabulary. I do not find many ideas for volunteering other than English teaching, camps for kids, etc. I've got strong interests in culture, food, art, ceramics, history, animals, community service and skills to go with…

We are looking to "Climb Every Mountain" Korea -style this summer. Finding it difficult to get organized where to start, which one to climb next...don't want to waste too much time or money catching trains back and forth. Any suggestions? Anyone ever do it before?

Hi, we're going to Jeju for 3 days, and need some advice. Since the first and third day are half days, we did not book any tours, only 2nd day is with tour bus. Can someone advise where the two of us can go?

Seoul Nightlife

I'm going to be in Seoul for 5 days next month on my own and was wondering what kind of night life there is apart from nightclubs. All the tourist info I've found seems to only mention there are loads of nightclubs but I'm too old/not interested.

Any suggestions of places that are less club oriented - bars or live music venues?

Can anyone recommend a place to stay in Gangnam-gu, preferably in Samsung-dong, for up to $60 (70,000 won) a night?
I am going to a conference at Coex and want to stay near the venue, but I am a student and can't afford the bigger name hotels. I'll be there for a week in July.

Layover on Seoul

Hi,

I have a layover in Seoul in a few weeks and was wondering if people have any suggestions of stuff not to be missed. The only problem is that my flight gets into Seoul at 6pm (so I am assuming about an hour to get through customs/baggage etc), I know Seoul is a huge city but are things still open then?
Any tips would be great.
Thanks

Seoul

I'm trying to plan out our itinerary for Seoul for the end of June and am looking for advice. We are flying there as a layover on the way home from China. We've been working in China for a year (one or two more years to go) and we are doing a lot of traveling around Asia. This is our first and probably only trip to Korea.

We want to see as many historic or cultural sights as possible, including some or all of the four world heritage sites in Seoul. We aren't very into the nightlife, although…
