I've just travelled across Eastern Europe, Turkey, the Caucasus, and back again. I'm now in Seoul, South Korea for a few weeks though I may also go to Japan in that time.

Due to various miscalcuations about time and border crossings I've amassed about 50 Euros worth of banknotes in exotic currencies: Georgian and Armenian. Any clues to banks or exchange booths that accept weird monies is very appreciated.

You can try KEB, Korea Exchange Bank. You'll find its branches around anywhere in Seoul.

If they can't, I don't think any bank in Korea can.

Georgian and Armenian? Sorry, not a chance unless you bump into an Armenian or a Georgian in Korea.

What about exchanging Asian currency? I have lived and worked in China on and off for the last 2 years. Planning on going to Seoul to do some indymedia coverage of the G-20 summit. Going to bring around 5,000 Chinese RMB, which bank will I get the best rate? I hear that prices in Korea are comparable to the US, so what initially would have been a 2 week trip might be trimmed to 5-8 days to save money.

Prices in Korea are in no way comparable to US. Just take transportation as an example. There are no other developed countries that offer such cheap public transport as in S. Korea.

can anyone answer my question regarding the exchange of Chinese RMB into Korean currency?
