Ciao everyone,

be careful when booking accommodation in a traditional Korean house. I booked a room at Anguk guest house in Seoul listed by Korean tourist board. Despite confirmation of availability when i got there not only the owner was gone but my room was taken. Not a pleasant experience after 12 hours flight and nowhere else to go.
Enjoy your travels

Anguk guest house is a beautiful traditional house, but it isn't managed very well and I had problems as well with no-one being there when I arrived and finding it all locked up and not being given the room I had been promised plus a few other annoyances. So much so that I won't be staying there when I head back to Seoul in October.

Shame really, as it is a wonderful building in a great location, but I think there are probably better alternatives close by.
