A friend of mine and I will be taking the ferry from Donghae to Vladivostok soon. We opted for this one since it was equally priced and seemed newer and nicer than the ferry from Sokcho according to the photos posted on both of the websites.
The latest Lonely Planet lacks any information on the Donghae ferry, and seat61.com lacks any info on the Sokcho ferry. I don't know what other resources might give me info about either one. They both clearly exist, however, and I was just curious if anyone has taken either ferry, or better yet, both ferries, and could let me know their thoughts.
Like I said, I already plan on taking the Donghae ferry, but this question has been on my mind a bit while trying to work out our schedule and which ferry we should take, so I'm asking mainly out of curiosity and possibly for the benefit of future travelers considering the options. Thanks!
