Suggest itineraty for south Korea in two weeks

Hi all,

I'm planning my trip to south korea, I'm reading lp guide and I plan the following trip:

Seul - Andong (getting around near villages) It is interesting going by train?
Andong - Daegu
Daegu - Gyeongju
Gyeongju - Busan
Busan - Jinju - Tongyeong
Tongyeong - Boseong
Boseong - Wando - Jeju island
Jeju islands
From Jeju I'm planning to get a flight back to Seul.

Is it posible for two weeks? I know distant are not too big, but I'd like to take the sense of rural places in South Korea, so I don't want to go in a hurry. Any idea, it'll come wellcome, thanks.

Otherwise, I'd like to going hiking for a couple of hours, any interesting park for visiting in my route? I have read jirisan national park, but I think I don't have time for visiting.

Any idea, will wellcome. Thanks very much in advanced.

As far as hiking is concerned,you can do that either at Bukhansan in Seoul or Hallasan (great hike) in Jeju-do, if you don't want to stop off at another destination. Jirisan is also a nice hike, though. I don't know the appeal of going to Daegu, nor Tongyeong. It's a possible itinerary for two weeks.

Go to Haeinsa and go hiking in Gayasan (or Gajisan, I forget) near the temple, if you go to Daegu.

Hiking in Wolchulsan near Mokpo, not far from Wando.

Some other good parks closer to the coast, rather than inland from Andong.

The quickest access port for Jeju Island is Mokpo on the sth west coast. About 3-4 hours, cf with 12 hours from Busan. Some good info in the above website.

Hi all,

Well I have changed some itineray from m trip, I drop Andong and I might drop jeju islands.

I'll get to Daegu direct from Seul. I'll visit Haeinsa from Daegu and I'd like to visit Daegu herbat market. I'm not sure to stopping Gimcheon for visiting Jikjisa temple. Does anybody know if it posible to stay in that temple? if not, any idea where stay in one night around.

I'm going to Tong Yeong for visiting Yeohma islands, do you think it is not interesting visit it?

Otherwise does anybody know if is it locker at bus station in Jinju?
I can not find accomodation around Dolsando, any idea?

You can stay in the minbak village in Haeinsa, rather than sleep in Daegu itself if you want to get up early and explore before other tourists arrive.

There are plenty of minbak on Dolsando where the bus terminates. Don't miss the sunrise from the hermitage, it's really special.
